    Mr. HAN Myung Sup is currently Partner at Tongin Law Firm.


    As a licensed attorney who passed the 32nd National Bar Examination and a graduate of the National Judicial Research and Training Institute, Mr. HAN Myung Sup has extensive experience in legal matters relating to unification. He served as a public prosecutor at the Unification Legal Affairs Division of the Legal Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, Republic of Korea; Member of the National Unification Advisory Council; Chair of the Research Committee on Unification Matters of the Korean Bar Association; Chair of the Special Committee on North and South Korea Legislation Research; Member of the Committee on Unification and Justice of the Supreme Korea of Korea; Member of the Committee on Unification Legislation of the Ministry of Unification, Republic of Korea; and Member of Committee on North and South Korea Legislation Research of the Ministry of Government Legislation, Republic of Korea.


    Mr. HAN Myung Sup holds L.L.B degree from Kyung Hee University, Master's degree in North Korean Politics and Unification from the University of North Korean Studies and Ph.D. in Law from Kyung Hee University.

    Born on Feb. 11th in 1947, HATOYAMA Yukio served as the 93rd Prime Minister of Japan (2009–10). He belongs to the Hatoyama family which had produced four generations of politicians including his grandfather, Ichiro Hatoyama, who served as Prime Minister between 1954 and 1956.


    HATOYAMA Yukio was educated as an engineer, earning a bachelor’s degree at the University of Tokyo (1969) and a doctorate at Stanford University (1976). He taught at Senshu University in Tokyo since 1981 and began his own political career as a member of the LDP, winning election in 1986 to the House of Representatives as a member from Hokkaido. In 1993, he left the LDP and took a position in the coalition government of Morihiro Hosokawa (founder of the reform Japan New Party), which lasted until 1994. Over the next few years he joined the newly formed Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), serving as Co-Leader in 1996 and Deputy Secretary in 1997. He was Chairman from 1999 to 2002, Secretary-General from 2005 to 2009 and became President of DPJ from 2009. He was elected as Japan’s 93rd Prime Minister from September 2009 to June 2010. He also received Order of Friendship of Russian Federation in 2011 as well as Vietnam Friendship Medal in 2013. HATOYAMA Yukio is currently President of East Asian Community Institute (EACI) since May 2013.

    Dr. HEO Jang is recognized as one of the leading experts who has delved into the development and cooperation of agriculture and rural development in South Korea. With over roughly 30 years of professional experience in KREI, he has carried out research in rural community welfare, changes in rural community, environmentally-friendly farming and international agricultural development and cooperation, and published a number of policy reports.


    From 2014 to 2018, he served as a member of the Working Committee on International Development and Cooperation under the Office of the Prime Minister. Dr. HEO Jang worked for the Technical Advisory Committee in Global Agriculture and the Food Security Program for two years from 2010. He played influential roles in academia: President of the Korean Association for Environmental Sociology, Chief Editor and Auditor of the Korean Rural Sociological Society, and Executive Director of the Korea Association of International Development and Cooperation.


    He was awarded a presidential commendation in 2016, a commendation from the Minister of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 2011, and the KREI Research Award in 2008. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a M.A. in Sociology from Seoul National University.

    Mr. HWANG is currently serving as Advisor to the Minister of Unification at the Ministry of Unification, Republic of Korea. Prior to his current position, he served as Counsellor at the Embassy of Korea in Germany from 2015 to 2018, Director of Unification Policy Division from 2013 to 2015, Administrative Official at the Office of Senior Secretary for Foreign Affairs and National Security at the Office of the President from 2010 to 2013, and Secretary at the Office of the Inter-Korean Dialogue from 2007 to 2010.


    He earned his LLB degree from Korea University, graduate degree in public policy from Rutgers University and Ph.D. ABD from Freie Universität Berlin.

    Dr. HWANG Eunju has joined in the establishment of Korea National Nature Trust under the National Trust Act of 2006 for the preparation and management of such special public corporation during 13 years since 2006.

    Dr. HWANG enjoined ardently in several kinds of environmental movements including “the detour of high voltage power line for the benefit of local people’s safety and health”, and “the legal suit in Sae-man-geum wetland, South Korea, for future generation”. She also took part in some kinds of international activities, for example, “the 10th European Green Belt Conference in Berlin in 2013” and also “the Pan-European Green Belt Conference in Eisennach, Germany in 2018”.

    Dr. HWANG got her Ph.D. from Sogang University by way of the article, that is, “A Study of Legal Theory of Ecosystem Services available to Benefit-sharing” after receiving her Master's degree from the same University in the title of “Undertones of National Trust System on the Environmental Policy”.
